Victoria Rengel

Student Researcher

I am a passionate advocate who is completing the IB Diploma. I am currently on the humanities track, having taken Global Politics. I am passionate about Non-Profit work, specifically the Global Compromise Collective and policy debate. I aim to purse to a double concentration in government and history, given their interconnected nature.

Interdisciplinary and scientific research is important to me, given that it has been historically restricted from oppressed groups. Hence, I believe that going forward we should not only encourage critical research but also research that explores issues that have otherwise been forgotten. My paper seeks to do just that, exploring gentrification, a topic that has previously been suppressed similar to red-lining.
